Well we have been in Utah long enough that we needed to some of the things that we love to do in the State, getting out in the glorious outdoors. Since we actually camped last, we have added two more children to the clan, Sam and Sydney. This was a first for them and they loved it. Sam got a bike for his 3rd birthday on March 2. Since that time, I would say that he has maximized his time on the saddle in spite of all the bad weather that we have had at home. Now I have been harassed for the last 2 weeks to fix his the training wheels that are either loose or bent, causing him to wobble all over the place. Part of my job is helping supervise the Young Men in the ward. As part of that duty, I hiked Mt Ben Lomond Friday the 8th. We got to the trailhead at about 4:30 in the afternoon and promptly headed up the hill. The trail is very good. It is a pretty steep mountain so it is a series of switchbacks. So we had hiked a while and could still see the car, which wasn't too far away as a bird flies.

Nat has been training most of the summer to run. She ran the Provo River Half Marathon on Saturday, the 12th of August. Here she is with the girls in the Neighborhood. Emily, Kirsten, Angie, Jen and Natalie. For her first long race, Natalie finshed with a very good time of 2:05:45 for 13.1 miles; a 9:36 pace. Our family went up to Rexburg, Idaho this last weekend. The primary purpose was the Teton Dam Races. Natalie was and her sister Gennifer ran the Teton Dam 5K. It was Nats first race and she ran it in 31 1/2 minutes, placing 43rd out of 85 women. She is now training for a half Marathon later in the Summer. Yay!!!

We went to Hardware couple of weeks back. It was nice to get out and see the great outdoors. These are free range elk that come to feed on supplemental alfafa fed by the DWR. Accourding to the biologist, most of the cows are local, but the bulls have been know to come from as far south as Durango, CO and as far north as Jackson, Wy. Amazing. Seth thought it was cool to see the big antlers.

Samuel Wallace Hardy was born March 2nd, 2005 (Emma's Birthday also) at 3:17 AM. He weighed 9 lbs. 3 oz. and was 21 inches long. Mommy and Sam are healthy and happy. I will keep you posted with some pictures shortly.
